Airfix/Hornby announced a1/350 RN Invincible Class Thru-deck Cruiser for 2009 this morning at IPMS 2008 at Telford.
HMS Illustrious 1:350 A12202 newly tooled for 2009, no release date specified.
Wonder who is doing the moulds for this one?

Would that be a modern Illustrious, or the famed WWII carrier (one can only hope)?

Dear Karl
I don't wish to sound patronising but the answer's in plain sight, namely, it's the thru-deck anti-submarine cruiser/ carrier, as opposed to the WWII fleet carrier. Given the Invincible's Falkland's Conflict record it's likely to be a commercial success.
