Dear Sean: Thanks mucho for this info., which will help me out - if I can figure out how to order it! Eduard's website will not open for me and I cannot find a USA vendor who is selling it. Any advice?

Hi Sean: Thanx for the info. I got into Eduard by going: google > cached > current page - then I could navigate around in it just fine. But http://www.eduard.cz does not open for me. Oh well. None of the suppliers you cite has the Revell PE in stock yet, so I ordered direct from Eduard. I hope the set has some fittings that the other Tamiya-specific sets don't have. I'll be using them on my Tamiya 1/350 Tirpitz, which in my opinion, is a better kit if you plan on PE'ing it up. I've noticed that a lot of the proportions and craft of the parts in the Revell kit are off: the armored citadel, the 38cm turrets, and the deck planking detail is just too gross - like the railings, which I don't think anyone can do good in 1/350 plastic injection molding on a $60 kit. It does have some good features, like the rivet detail on the secondary turrets, one piece main deck, and the bilge vents in the hull. But to each his own. Stephen

Sounds very good Stephen.

Good luck with it and may I suggest when you receive the set you supply Mark (Gunny) with a review.

Cheers

Hi Sean: Good idea, will do. Eduard advises that yesterday that they have shipped me the two Revell Bismark PE sets. We shall see what they are. HLJ also advises that they have shipped a KALMD35003 "Bismarck Wooden Deck for Revell " - http://www.hlj.com/product/KALMD35003
I am planning on trying to fit this into my 1/350 Tamiya Tirptiz build. Maybe it will be a decent fit or can be made to work, maybe not. Stephen

Out of curiosity, do the two Eduard sets provide any real improvement to WEM's older set? The WEM is cheaper and pretty comprehensive so I'm trying to figure out if the Eduard one would be the better buy.

Thanks,
Matt
