Thanks to Mr. Omami's (J Model Works) report of the recent Hasegawa JMC, there is information that Hasegawa officially announced the 1/350 IJN Agano. No release date yet, but the kit is official.

In a semi related note, the ever popular F1M2 Pete has also been announced as a 1/48 kit by Hasegawa. This is one of my favorite planes of all time and is seen on nearly every IJN subject carrying floatplanes...

Before, the largest kit of the Pete was Tamiya's hard to find 1/50 kit. That was a pretty old (but good) kit, so this will be a big improvement.

This awesome 1/350 diorama caught my eye- the Yukikaze making its way through an attack. A 1/72 TBM-3 is used for forced perspective.

Check out Omami's always amazing site for more on the show and his own awesome builds (his Soryu is my inspiration for my Hiryu).

The forced perspective dio is fantastic,... hhhmmmmmm... the possibilities!

I too am a fan of Mr. Omami. I'm using his Akagi as inspiration for my Akagi.
