Nick,
After seeing your posts on the Big E and the incredible photos, I decided to go a lot farther on my own Enterprise than originally intended. My kit was set aside a few years ago due to work, kids, moving ect..... Now I am actively working on the Bismarck and KGV 'to improve my skills' with the only activity on the Big E being purchasing extra parts and doing research. Currently the hull is assembled with some GMM PE attached and the island is partially built, unfortunately I will be doing some very careful dis-assembly to add more detail.
After aborting an attempt to install a hanger deck last winter I had decided to buy the Tom's Model Works hanger deck and do some scratch building for the sides. So needless to say I would be interested in what you are planning as a hanger deck kit. Keep us all informed.
Simply put your build so far is outstanding! You have inspired a neophyte returning modeler.

Thanks, Neil

Hi Neil I got your mail as well but just let me respond to this post..
Thank you very much for your kind words..
Good to see more fellows going more detail with their BIG E builds.
Yup those photoetch sets are essential ..don't forget the Floatation Canisters and Elevators as well.

Good luck with your dis-assembly and detail adding.

I had no clue that TMWs had a hanger deck!?

At the moment, I still waiting some items to reach my mailbox, while others have already been purchased and as I mentioned..a photo blog will follow asap with the hanger deck build up.. Just stay tuned..
