David - feel free to take ownership of the FLATTOPS GB, I can give you some feeble help and the good people in here can help with logistics! I would vote for a LATE 2009 start on this one, if it runs and have it run awhile.

Thanks, I will take it on. Dec 09 and Jan 10 have been suggested as start times so I will start with those and see what everyone thinks.

just my 2 cents.

All of this Campaign and Group build talk is quite exciting, mates, let's keep it up!

Any member of the KitMaker Network can submit a Campaign for approval, and be the Campaign leader... and the first step with doing so has already been done with this thread....the next step is to submit it formally by following this link here to cement the guidelines, iron out the details, and get enough recruits to make it approved...

Interesting suggestions - we allready have a rather broad campain listed http://modelshipwrights.kitmaker.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=Campaigns&file=index&req=showcontent&id=298 - the camouflage campain beginning mid 2009 - I´m not sure I can take on more this year ... waterline is mighty tempting ....

Divine Wateline is officially up and waiting for recruits. Campaign, if approved will run from Sept 01/09 to May 31st/10, nine months should be sufficient time and also keep your summertime months open for real life waterlining!

Final vote for flattops:
1 All WWII flattops
or
2 Expand it to all flattops that ever floated

Start date: 10 Jan 2010

I will get a campaign ribbon ready soon. I want to look through some profiles and see what ribbons are already out there first to make sure I make a distinguishable one.

I am in (carriers) either way, but would vote for WW2 only. If we run a Nuke campaign in the future, we can build any nuke carriers in the stash.

Hey, James!

Do we have an enlistment count yet?

Perhaps I could take it since I work on a carrier (USS Midway), but only if Gator designs the banner and Rui the ribbon!

I have the Carrier GB. I have been TDY so I haven't had the time to get it started yet. I should get it in a day or two.

The flattop campaign has been submitted. I have been unable to make a ribbon that I like well enough to use. My idea was to have the silhouette of a carrier with "WWII" behind it but I haven't been able to make it work for me. Is anyone willing to help me out and make a ribbon for me?

David – thanks for volunteering! Look forward to this GB, will sign up as soon as its up!

Karl – You can take the “Battle GB” for next year (Philippine Sea), or I can run that one (or maybe even another battle-themed GB).

With the new additions (Carriers and Divine Waterline) I *think* we now have a full plate for 2009, unless someone wants to run a shorter GB (auxiliaries, nuke)?

Thank you all for your input, comments and/or suggestions! Happy building in 2009! Cheers

Okay, with Divine Waterline and Carriers on the docket, we have work aplenty at least thru the first half of 2010.

We still have time to ponder things, but I believe a new topic for the second half of next year would be appropriate. An early candidate would be Battle of the Atlantic/ASW.
