I am particularly a armor builder but i spent 21 years in the navy and would like to build the 4 ships i was stationed on. I have found 3 of them in 1/700 scale but the fourth AD-44 USS Shenadoah does not seem to exist. If anyboday can help me or knows of a kit please respond. Thanks

Hi Mike

The only AD-44 USS Shenadoah scale model that I could find (in any scale) is this:
Motion Models

Since they say that they can make it in any scale... why don't you ask them how much would it cost to sell it in kit form (in 1/700, not finished).
Don't know what the answer will be, but it's better than nothing!
And btw, I have no affiliation whatsoever with Motion Models

Another option is to... scratch-built it (if you can find the plans for this class of vessel)
Hope this helps a little

Mike;
Were you successful in your search for a model of the USS Shenandoah AD-44?

I am building all the ships my father served on during his 35 years in the Navy.

I have found the 7 Subs(Ironically all from a Russian company), and the USS Eisenhower CVN-69(an Academy model).

The USS L.Y. Spear AS-36, USS Yellowstone AD-41 and the USS Shenandoah AD-44 have eluded me...

Thank you for any information you may have.

Everett,
Mike hasn't been on Armorama since April 2015. You may want to try sending him a private message. Sorry I don't have any info on the ships you're looking for
