Thanks for the heads up on this one Sean.

I have been wanting to add one of these to the collection but the old Revell kit in 1/720 scale is not known for a decent build. I can see at $250 I wiil have to probably go the paper model route to get one in that scale. But it is interesting and if it is any indication of what this year will bring for us to enjoy, rock on!

I'll pass judgement until I see the molds,.... With all the money being invested by me in 350th scale, I couldn't envision plunging myself into another scale!... and yes those casement guns are not a good selling point!

I wonder about their subject choice and scale.
I'd probably spring for a 200th WW2 Enterprise, but really can't see me plopping down 250 clams for Graf Zeppelin.
What ever happened to their 1/72 scale Japanese subs?
Never seen them on sale, just pre-orders!

Yes very strange choice of subject, but at least they won't be 'trumped' by another company putting one on the shelves first. Personally, I think it looks like another toy.

This is a joke, right? Those couldn't possibly be test shots of a model that is going to be released in that scale for that price! It looks more like styrofoam and paper. Are they really going to do this kit or are they just testing the waters to see if anyone is interested? The last thing they should have done is put that model in front of the drawings of the ship so one can see how inaccurate the model is. I would love to see a good kit of the GZ in a larger scale. I would have been happy with 1/350 to match the rest of the fleets that are out there. If the kit is accurate and a good base for detailing I would snap it up in a second. If it indeed looks like what is pictured here then no way, Jose. I'll wait for a 1/350 kit or scratch build it in 1/350.

Looking at this pictures I have to say that this ship on the photos look.... pitiful !!
In that scale inaccuracy of the model is tremendous…
Well 250 $ it’s at last 200 $ too much
