For the WWII Flat-Tops Campaign I am planning on doing the USS Ticonderoga (CV14), and am looking for some recommendations for p/e for the Hasagawa kit. I see the Gold Medal Models, Tom's Model Works, & Flagship Models all have p/e sets for the Essex-class. Are there any preferences?

Hi Jim,
Toms' Model Works set is the least expensive and offers the least amount of material, pretty basic stuff unless you add a lot of other sets that he offers to really complete the ship. Gold Medal Models is pretty good, a little more expensive but covers a lot more territory and his quality is pretty high as well. Don't know about Yankee Modelworks stuff, have not tried any.
Like most other things in life, you pays your money and you takes your choices.
