SOS... I'm starting this kit for a display but need some images of the actual 1105 or a source for an accurate description of the rubber tiles and paint scheme. Wouldnt mind some advice on PE brass for the deck. My version will not have any weathering.

Hi Gene

I've ploughed through a few books and the net but can find little specific info regarding the 1105. The coating was made up of anechoic tiles and these were about 4mm thick, however I couldn't find anything that points to their size our how obvious the tiling effect would be.

There is a photo of the 1105's conning tower on the net but it is not that clear on the detail you require. The closest I got to an approximation of the effect was a "skin" on the subsim site which was created by using the conning tower picture to render the texture of the coating.
