Does anyone have the new Perry Class FFG in 1/350? I'd love to see a build log on this one.

Just picked it up at my local HS on Saturday. Looks like I'll enjoy buidling it, when the time comes. Researching some PE for it and then waiting until after my upcoming transfer and move.

Hi, there!
Looks like WEM will be the only maker to release a dedicated set as of now.
Other maker have so far declined my requests.
It is an excellent kit really: A great start for Academy into the ship market (considering their prior releases)
Cheers,
Guido

I haven’t gotten one of those kits, but it sure does look nice. SO far there has been positive feedback from those who have gotten it.
I sailed around with those little ships enough that I might just add one to my “paper” stash. The only problem is my wife is insisting I buy small kits. But at least she is letting me buy more kits.

In this case your are lucky, Jim!
I thought the box was surprisingly small for a 350th kit!

Well, then I might just see if I can squeeze it into my purchase plan.
I will also have to dig through my photos and see how many FFG shots I took. Us tin can sailors used to call them half ships since they only have the once screw.

Sorry for my late reply Tracy!
My Gambler team mate Christian had concated him and got the reply that one the GMM Modern DD sets would hold almost everything required. That was before X-mas. I deem it is possible that Loren changed his mind due to popular request!?
I'd certainly be one of those buying!

I supplied him with a couple of kits last year to make sets off of, and when I asked about the OHP kit he declined, saying he was already planning on getting one of his own to use and build. We don't converse all that regularly, but I'll check in with him and see what he as to say. Sounds like one of us has outdated information...
