Hi All,
i've recently ordered my first two all-resin ship kits; HMS Thunderer (which is clearly the greatest British ship name ever - who wouldn't want to be Capatin of her?) by Combrig, and a Visby-class corvette by l'Arsenal.
Although I've worked with resin bits and pieces before on tanks and planes, I've never built a full resin kit.
What are the pitfalls in working with solely resin, and what's the best adhesive to use - CA or 2-part epoxy?
Any tips or help would be appreciated.
Regards
Graeme

hello Graeme,
first,Welcome to MSW.there are some of the Greatest Scale Shipwrights here that i have ever seen.
on you question,i use CA for my resin ship,2-part epoxy is OK but i found using CA with an accelerator works the best for me.
what scale are you building?the HMS Thunderer sounds like a interesting build.
i hope this helps.
cheers,
Bruce
