What is the best way to paint trumpeter 1/700 USN airplane's?

Hi Douglas,
I would suggest applying first the interior color (yellow green chromate) taking care not to paint the canopy. After that, you can use tamiya tape to cover the canopy and the paint the model with the colors needed (lighter to darker). After that, paint the canopy structures, apply a coat of future, decals, future again to seal the decals. Give a black or dark grey wash and after this, apply again tamiya tape on the canopy and give a matt varnish coat to make the plane dull...
