hello all,
i need the Hull and deck colors for the HMS Victorious during the Arctic Convoys March-April 1942.
also if possible the Fleet Air Aircraft colors for the same time period.
the only photos i have are in B/W and the painting instructions are vague.

The aircraft would have been dark sea grey/ slate grey (greenish grey) topsides and sky type 's' undersides

According to one of my books the carrier flight deck was dark grey and hull was medium grey, I haven't yet managed to pin down the correct shade for you but I think that the hull was AP507B and the deck AP507A - you can get colour matched paints from White Ensign Models

From May 1941 - August 1942, Victorious wore Admiralty Disruptive Pattern camouflage, using the colors AP 507A Admiralty Dark Grey, MS.3, and White; the flight deck was camouflaged in 507A and MS.3. We have all those colors accurately matched and available in our Colourcoats enamels, and you can find the port, starboard, and flight deck camouflage pattern in Volume 1 of Royal Navy Camouflage from WR Press, which we also stock.

looks like i am going to be sending you an order next month.Do you have the Slate Gray in, it was used in the 1890's US Navy?not sure what the number is.

Hi, heres an overview of the Camo-pattern applied to Victorious`s flight-deck in May 1941,hope it helps,the kit is a much modidfied Heller 400th,with WEM PE
