I really like this presentation. The movement and interaction of the crew particularly got my attention. It very much has the appearance of being under way. Excellent work.

Fantastic job -- one of the nicest versions of this kit I've seen yet. Mind if I ask two questions?
1. Do you have close up pictures of the cockpit/helm?
2. Can you share with us what you used for figures? They look like an assortment
Thanks for sharing.

Like everyone has said, great stuff! The figures are lively, and I especially like the helmet and clothing gear piled on deck. Very complete project, very nice!

hi and thanks again guys. the assortment of figures used in the project are extras from academy, dragon, italeri and some from tamiya. some were fitted with resin heads and dragon figure heads from spare box. mixed and scratchbuild their arms..some repositioned. the hardest to make was the jackets made of milliputty. all helmets are from tamiya and should be used only on few selected heads. mostly dragon figures have narrow top. while the italeri's had to be shaped to fit the helmets.

the crew wearing shorts was a kubelwagen driver. i curved the cap from his original german cap. while the one up front..was from the FAMO crew. replaced with resin head.

the figures manning the helm are from tamiya's FAMO..with resin heads.

thanks again for your nice words and comments. ed

Your hard work has paid off! It's really is lively. I love to hear about being clever and mixing and customising. The milliput worked well (it and competitors = great stuff). You should be very pleased, it's so enjoyable to look at and see all the details. It has life in action and detail!

hi and thanks wink, i have a thread somewhere in the fleet maneuver section. detailing how i picked up crew from sparebox of assorment figures. the figures manning the bofors..were tamiya humvee drivers..the two standing were from academy. gunner at the rear was from tamiya panther and the officers at the helm were...famo crew with resin heads. up front observing the anti aircraft gunners were from famo and the one was driver from kubelwagen. reshaped their head gears and added shoulder rank straps. the rest..i added italeri's PT boat crew with dragon heads from spare box. repositioned their heads and used tamiya helmet. i also beefed up their jackets with putty. stuffs piled up on the deck were extras from different models. again the jackets were made of milliput. shell casings made from copper wire. and dusting the whole boat with tamiya weathering kit. thanks for the kind words..very much appreciated. ed
