Hello,

I was started Hasegawa's Tenryu months ago.

Hasegawa's P.E.sets for both sisters Tatsuta and Tenryu.

Removed cable reels, rails and linoleum details.

Portholes drilled.

Joe World linoleum stripes.

Testing all p.e. aft structre before linoleum work start along deck.

Kits Bridge part has to be rebuild. I found side dwgs in Model Art's 1/700 dwgs. book and now trying to build new bridge . Will complete all lino work after finishing bridge part.

I would say, planning and research is most difficult part for such works which I still could not arrange

Hi Serhan,

Great looking build, the linolium PE strips are a great idea, I guess all you have to do once the model is painted is to sand/scrape off the overlying paint over the PE strips and expose the brass.

thanks for sharing,
Frank

Hi Frank, Thanks,

Yes, all I have to do is to sand or scrape off the overlying paint over the PE strips and expose the brass.

Before having techs. books from Japan, I tried gold pencil for linoleum effects in my first built, IJN Yubari.

Hope Tenryu's stripes will look much cute.

Serhan

Serhan

Nice looking project. I have seen those strips before but was not too sure how they would look and work.

Looking forward to more updates!

It's one of my favourite subjects of the IJN light-cruisers the Tenryu adn Tatsuta sadly hard to find the model nowadays!!

Looks great so far Serhan. The photoetch parts are a welcome addition for this kit. The new linoleum strips are a nice touch.

Hi Serhan,

did you post images of your completed IJN Tenryu anywhere? Or would you send some to me by email for inspiration? I am looking into building Tenryu as of Aug 1942 but I really lack details on her fit etc. so it would be nice to see how you finished her. Also if you have any better drawings that can be found on the internet which you can share...

Thanks a lot, Vladimir

I have never seen the "Joe World" strips... I must get these for the IJN stuff I have in 700 scale. In the past, I've just used thin brass wire.

This looks a lot better.
