To all my fellow modelers and friends.

It has been a while since I have made any sort of announcement. Life has a way of changing plans and intentions. Thank you all for your support and suggestions as we strive to improve and as always you, the modeler, are the ones who determine if we are successful or not.

On a personal note I would like to let the modeling community know I am no longer with JAG Collective Inc. All inquiries about JAG projects should be directed towards them. What does this mean for you – the modeler? In the long run, it means more time devoted to Admiralty Models. This will reflect in new projects and a few surprises. Not all will be announced or mentioned, as I do not wish to be known for “vapor ware”.
However, the little wheels are running flat out behind the scenes and we will keep you all informed.

As from May 1, 2009 our kits will be available in North America (USA and Canada) through our website only. EU and other International Markets may still approach their local vendors.

We would also like to remind you all about the Postage increase on May 11, 2009. Not all services will see an increase, as some were adjusted in January.

In that light we will have a number of announcements staggered over the next few weeks.

REMINDER!! – 1/700 Repulse Update Set – A few weeks ago, the Repulse Upgrade Set was announced as complete and ready to ship. We would like to remind everyone that this set is available now and has thus far received rave reviews – much to our satisfaction. Get yours today by ordering from our site:
www.Admiraltymodelworks.com

NEW!! - For those of you awaiting the imminent release of the Trumpeter 1/350 HMS Repulse, Admiralty Model Works WILL be producing an upgrade set for the 1/350 version as well, up to the standard you have come to expect from AMW! We await a kit so we can make it compatible to the Trumpeter kit.
We are taking pre-orders now!

NEW!! - There are a number of new accessories we have released this week, they have been placed on the website.

700/507 – USN 5” / 38 twin gun Turrets (12 Turrets – NO barrels) $ 10.00
700/508 – Royal Navy Capital ship Wasteney-Smith Stockless Anchor (6 anchors) $ 6.00
700/509 – Royal Navy WWII 45’ Fast Motor Boat (4 boats with Photo-etch) $ 10.00
700/510 – Royal Navy WWII 45’ Motor Boat (4 boats with Photo-etch) $ 10.00
700/511 – Royal Navy WWII 45’ Motor Launch (4 boats with Photo-etch) $ 10.00
700/512 – Royal Navy WWII 35’ Motor Boat (4 boats with Photo-etch) $ 8.00
700/513 – Royal Navy WWII 32’ Cutter (4 boats with Photo-etch) $ 8.00
700/514 – Royal Navy WWII 30’ Gig (4 boats with Photo-etch) $ 8.00
700/516 – Royal Navy WWII 27’ Whaler & 16’ Dingy (4 boats of each with Photo-etch) $ 8.00

The 32’ Cutter, 30’ Gig and the 27’ Whaler are also correct to be used with any pre WWII Royal Navy ship.

The Anchor set is good for any Royal navy Capital ship.

The USN 5”/38 is correct for a number of USN Cruisers and Destroyers, and on some of the Battleships and Alaska Large Cruisers. Brass Barrels are available for this set, # 700/603, you will need 2 sets of Brass Barrels for one of the set of Twin Turrets.

NEW!! - 1/700 Worcester/Roanoke CL 144/145 – This kit is in its final stages of development and will be ready to ship around the end of May. While this kit has been previously announced and the completion date has slipped back to late May the causes are unfortunate life priorities. The kit is a 2 in 1 as you will be able to build the Worcester OR the Roanoke from the kit, as we have included the different bridge, funnel and radars.

REQUEST - I will also like to remind everyone about the 1/700 French Battleship Gascone project. Should you wish this kit to be made we need more preorders. If you have not previously requested this kit please send in an e-mail with your contact details only for this project. If you have, send one in do so again anyway. The more people that sign up the higher the priority that will be given to it. No money needed until the project is ready to ship. Please, we need your support on this if you want to see this project become a reality.

We may be contacted at [email protected] or visit our website at www.Admiraltymodelworks.com

Thank you,

The Admiralty Team.
