Nice clean build. I'm interested in the yellow square shaped things tied in rope. I'm assuming they are lifeboats. How did you make them or were they kit provided?

Yeah, I'm a bit curious as to what scale it is?

Nice model Jan!
You have made a very good job out of a old model (with all the limitations it has!).

As to others question, my bet is Heller's 1/400 model...

Cheers,
Rui

Hello mates !

Rui, is right. Yes it is old Heller 1/400 kit. I finished 3 Heller kits until now ( Bismarck, Hood, Prinz) and Scharnhort which will be finished soon.
In my opinion the Prinz Eugen is the best of them. I must say I like detailing those old Heller kits. They are very good material for learning new tricks.

@Anthony Kochevar : "yellow square shaped things tied in rope" are so called "Marx Floats" used by Kriegsmarine. I saw them on some colored
photos of S-Boote. And they were in yellow. White Ensign Model provides frames for them in their photo etched set. I think there is
enough material for cca 20 floats. The only thing to do is to glue a piece of plastic between top and bottom frame to give them a 3D look.
The used rope normal rope for sewing, but I tried to fix the threads by clear lacquer. The result on photos is under my expectation.
Next time I will probably use copper wire instead.
