Hello all,
In looking at the Campaigns ending and beginning in 2010. With only 1 starting (Flattops) and 2 ending (Camouflage and Divine Water) around June 2010, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a Campaign Staring the Ships of the Soviet Union.
It would start June-July 2010 and run till February-March 2011. Any and all Soviet Ships would would be allowed.
Let me know what you think.
Cheers,
Bruce

Hello James,
Everything is working right, so far. I think that the Doc's got it right this time.
As per the campaign suggestion, You are the only one interested so far. With the Community build ending and Summer starting I think that some of the others might get interested in this campaign. But i have been wrong before.
I hope alls well with everyone in your Family.
Cheers,
Bruce

I like the idea. Don't forget, the Soviets received several foreign built ships during WW2.

Hello All,
There is a new book out about the Soviet Navy 1920 till the breakup. I cannot remember the name of the book, I saw it on one of the many sites I go to.
I will keep looking for it. It has all of the ship classes in it along with time in service and where the ship went.
It look like a very interesting book, to me.
By my count we have 3 interested in this campaign. We need at least 5 more before I submit it to Mark.
Cheers,
Bruce

Hi Bruce,

Has there been any movement on this Campaign idea? I just picked up a 1/350 Sovremenny and was looking forward to this group.

Thanks,

Daniel Chavez

I have the 1/700 Moskva Slava Class Cruiser so I'm good for this campaign.

Since Bruce is down for the count for the next several months, would it be possible to start this campaign in his absence and turn the reigns back over to him when he returns? I would be more than happy to step up and hold the fort in his absence with the understanding that I would only be acting as deputy.

Jeremy-
IMHO it would be OK to start witrhout Bruce and hand the rudder back to him upon return. However the start/end dates would have to be moved, anyway. So we might as well wait for 3-4 months and see, if Bruce will get back on deck by then.
Cheers,
Guido

Whatever works, I'm in no rush myself but would be happy to support his campaign if it is preferable to start while he is still recovering. I know he'll be itching to get back to his Blitz campaign and is probably working on getting the next Blitz campaign set up, so I'm not to worried about him being absent for too long

Hello All,
The Doc's want me to take it very easy this year, So I can only run 1 campaign this year and I am going to save it for blitz 4: Russia .
So Please go ahead and start the campaign with out me. I will stay on the side- line and cheer all of you on and Maybe be able to model something as part of the Rehab. I have talked to them and working with me hands is part of getting back movement after a stroke. It left me with no movement on the left side of my body right know. After I get done with Rehab they think I should have about 80% to 90% of my left side fully back.
So again go ahead and start the campaign.
Cheers,
Bruce

Well, good luck with your rehab.
Be aware that initially the progress is quick, but from a cvertain point it's most hard work to get back to normal. My father-in-law has had a number of strokes and he recovered 99% to what he could do before. Keep you head up as you do right now, because "wanting it" is a good motor for rehab!

Jeremy-
I guess that's the green light for you taking over!

That's very promising Bruce, and it sounds like you are likely to get more than that back Keep us updated, and count on me to join you for Blitz 4

If we're still a go gents then I will go ahead and submit a new form.
Bruce, is there anything specific that you wanted included in the campaign submission?
And what time frame is everyone comfortable with here?
