Hi, Y'all: I',m collecting my materials for a 1/350 IJN Chokai build. I note that some builders use PE ladders to replace the clear plastic bridge window pieces for their 1/700 kits. Great idea. I can't find a good match for this in 1/350 scale. What do you use if you don't go with the kit windows? Thanks, Stephen

Sometimes it pays to check your spare 1/350 PE ladders (there are always leftovers) from different sets because they can sometimes work in 1/350 as well. Like the ladders I used to do some windows on the 1/350 Kongo. Also, using a fret from a larger scale can help, like this fret from Tom's in 1/240:

Also, I do believe that Aoshima's own PE set for the Chokai includes window parts (#11-13):

Dade: Yes, the Aoshima PE set does appear to include bridge window frames, thank you. But I guess its scratch-build and scrape for general 1/350 applications.... Good luck on your next Big Project! Stephen

I bought the 1/16 inch sheet at a LHS for bridge windows but it is to big for 1:700 scale bridge windows. I'm going to get the Flyhawk netting that Freetime Hobbies sells instread. I'll sell it or trade the sheet for something 1:700 scale.
