Hello all, I have started to paint My Trumpeter Seawolf and am using Tamiya acyrillics my questions are, Is Tamiya clear, a gloss varnish? as I am wanting to use this for the decals and then sealing afterwards. Second question is what is the best matt varnish to use to bring the finish back to flat? I have both Humberol mattcote and Revell matt varnish. (Can they be airbrushed?)
All the best,
Peter.

Hi Sean,
It is X 22. It is not the Flat base (X 21) I know that for sure. And the Matt varnish is the Humberol one in a tin ( no. 49). I do also have a bottle of Johnson's Klear but am unsure how to spray that eg neat or thinned with something.
