I decided to try a product from The Detailer, It is a water based wash. I've seen it used on some decking and was pleased with the results. The problem is that they say not to use a water based varnish over their product. For health reasons all I use is water based products My question is ,do you think if the wash is completely dry, would it be ok to use the water based varnish over it .or under the wash as a base. Thanks
Frank

Hey Frank,
When I do a wash, I clear coat with Future and then dull coat with Tamiya flat base mixed with Future. I haven't had a problem.

Kenny , You shoot future through an airbrush ? What do you use to clean it out ?

Thanks Kenny, thats a new one to me, sounds a lot cheaper than using thinner. I'll give it a try.

Kenny,I just read that you mix future with tamiya Flat after the wash.
Iv always just sprayed laquer based flat after a wash...can you explain the benefits of your method? It sounds intruiging..
