Interesting conning tower. She looks very much like the early nuclear boats.

1956 ish version converted before being turned over to Italian Navy. Lizardfish had a long career first as Gato class sub, then as Guppy Class conversion, then as Italian Navy boat - at least that is what I read.
Here she is next to my Gato for comparison of changes- mostly internal that you cannot see, but conning tower was main change externially.
