I'm building the Bronco 1/350 HMS Vanguard for a review and I need some suggestions as to weathering. The colors of the boat are medium gray lower hull, a mixture of gloss black and medium gray for the upper hull, and gloss black for the deck. I've never tried weathering black or dark gray. Any suggestions as to a wash or dry brushing for these colors?
Thanks in advance for your help.

I've never weathered a black deck and I havn't had good luck with washes ether. If it were me, I'd spray on a clear flat over coat. Then I'd weather the deck in powdered artists chalk. For the black deck I'd do a medium gray and do a very light dusting just around the edge of all the objects on the deck to highlight them an create a slightly worn look.

Thanks Anthony. I was going to limit it to a wash for the lower hull to pick out the torpedo tubes. I hadn't thought about pastels. If I screw those up I can always take them off again. I'll give that a try.
