hey all wanting to know if anyone can help futher. i have an lee hms aurora and wondering hull length's and so on to convert it into the hmas sydney i cast an extra turret for the added turret. any one wich a pic of plans of both leander and Arethusa class. thank you in advance. cheers

Hi Jason,
There are two Profile Morskie books on both the Sydney,and Perth.I have the one on the Perth,and I can recommend it,She is one of my future builds in 350th.As for the Leander class ,they also do the Ajax,as she appeared after repairs following the River Plate battle,again i can recommend it.

Hey Jason!

I did an Ajax/Achilles build for a project using the Lee Aurora as a basis, but opted to scratchbuild the hull as the knuckle on the kit's bow is way too soft and the stern is too slender for a Leander--not to mention the longer hull to accommodate the fourth turret.

Excellent subject, although beyond 1:700 scale, she's a scratchbuild. BTW, there are pics of Shropshire with a bent funnel from her kamikaze hit in the Philippine campaign. That would be an interesting depiction.
