This is my passion at the moment. I am doing a museum-quality build of the 1/600th scale Academy Titanic. This has been a pretty decent kit so far. I have added various scratchbuilt details. I have the reserve anchor and cargo cranes rigged, but I'm not sure I like the way they look. I have some PE details that I will be adding to this model. I have the foredeck area pretty much how I like it. I may do a little tweaking here and there. Below is a partial nomenclature of the scratchbuilt add-ons. Below that are some pictures of what I have done so far.
- starboard stream anchor
- phone box near the reserve anchor crane
- various hatch covers between anchor chains
- anchor chains
- steam valves for the capstans
- steam feed for the winches
- fore hatch cover
- rebuilt reserve anchor crane
- vent #2
- fore rope locker
