I have made a ribbon and banner for the campaign but I cannot figure out howto put them in the campaign through the edit feature. Does it need hosted online somewhere?

There is a thread here titled "Campaign Leader Tutorial" with a link to said thread in Armorama. That should answer your questions (and maybe more).

Hi Anthony,
As Gary has stated, he has put together a tutorial for Campaign Leaders that will prove to be very helpful:

Thanks, I have been reading that leader thread and it has been very helpful. I tried again and got them both up in the campaign.

Why make the 1st July the start date, why not now? I'm just about to start 2 cruisers and want to enter them.

I've just enlisted - inspired by the Osprey book on Leyte Gulf, I would like to attempt to build a wee vignette depicting the moment before the collision between the Mogami and Nachi in Surigao Straight.

Hey Neil!

 That scene's got dramatic potential.

That does sound interesting and has the potential for quite alot of drama!

Thanks peeps - you have to hold me to this now!

Time, space and money preclude me from doing this in 1/350, so 1/700 it is.
Tamiya are the only option for the Mogami that I can find, But the Nachi is done by Fujimi and Hasegawa - which would you recommend? Right now, I would personally choose the Fujumi kit, purely because of its awesome (non-PC) box art.

I'd go with Hasegawa. I built their Myoko a sister to the Nachi and it likely has a lot of the same parts. It is a great kit with a lot of detail.

This campaign is a few weeks away. Is everyone getting ready? Do too some stress from another campaign build, I've eased up on the rules for this one. Basically you can do any cruiser type ship you feel qualifies. Maybe a few more people will sign up.
I've removed the contest element for now as well. Not because I don't have the prize to give(It was going to be a Griffon U-boat PE set) but because I don't feel I would be a good judge. There are just to many good modelers on the site, I likely could not make up my mind. Maybe if we could do a voting system or if someone else can help with the judging, I'd be willing to re-add the contest.

As for my build I'm doing the IJN Tama in 1:700 scale. I got the kit out the other day to look at and it is a nice new tooling.

Just enlisted. I plan to build the Matchbox 1/700 USS Indianapolis with a few after-market extras. How about multiple builds, as I also have the Tamiya 1/700 IJN Yahagi. The Yahagi was sunk whilst escorting the Yamato so fits the brief nicely.

I will build the DKM Admiral Hipper, most likely in her July 1942 scheme...
I hope I can start by July 1st, but it will probably be a little later, for two reasons:
1) The appropriate WEM set probably will not be available until July at the earliest.
2) I have told myself that I have to finish a few other builds first - at least as far as the painting stage.
Just one question:
What colours did the Germans use for that scheme (to be found here, it is the bottom one):

Welcome to the campaign! Those sound like great ships. You can build as many as you like during the campaign. I''m going to have my hands full doing just one.

Great to read I can do more than one. I'm waiting for a couple of things on backorder from White Ensign Models for the Indy. Got the quad bofors guns, and PE radar and doors yesterday which will really add a few touches to it.
Its been a long time since I last did a ship so the Yahagi will be an OOB build to get my teeth into. Might even try adding some PE rails.

Ok got a quick question. What is this and where does it go? The flags I recognise but not that stripy thing, theres also no mention of it in the instructions. Must be something important as its also included in a couple of IJN destroyers I've got and according to a lot of reviews I've read nearly every Japanese warship kit.

HI Stephen!
I believe the stripes are intended to serve as windows for the bridge of your ship kit.
