I know - I ought to know better than starting out on another diorama with all the other in-progress builds I have running. But some times I just get an idea that have to be put into something solid... dang..

I have stained the wooden frame, and have done the basic build up on the water using readytouse wallspakle - I hope to be able to remove the vessels again using the shrinkwrap.
As you will notice, then I have changed the layout so the sub is passing the launch - i find that porportions better with the smallest wessel out along the edge as before the launch was partly hiding the sub.
Cheers/Jan

With the wallspakle nicely dried up, I have masked of the stained and laquered base. After that the "groundwork" have been basepainted in black, as I find that the black color gives a good depth to the painting.
Here the boats have found there places - any cracks between boats and water will get filled with tainted acryllic gel.
Cheers/Jan
