Wednesday night at our monthly modeler meeting an incredibly generous member gave me a bunch of items concerning 1/350 scale Fletcher class DDs, including the Blue Water Navy resin Fletcher class kit and the Tamiya USS Fletcher herself. (He has decided to go with the R.O.G. 1/144 Fletcher and won't be using these.) I want to honor him by doing the best job I can with what he gave me. The P.E. includes the following.

Flagship Models Early War Fletcher Class destroyers.
Gold Medal Models WW2 Fletcher Class Destroyer.
Tom's Modelworks Set #3508 Fletcher Detail Set. (two of these)
Eduard 53003 Fletcher.
Tom's Modelworks #3557 The Sullivans Late War Fletcher.

I have already decided I want to make an early war version of the USS Fletcher herself, probably at the time of the First Naval Battle of Guadalcanal. That eliminates a lot of the parts, such as the extra depth charge storage on the stern, the racks covering the K gun charges, etc., and the Sullivans kit. Looking over the kits I kind of like some of the anti skip parts from Eduard, and some of the stuff from G.M.M. and Flagship models.

I just wanted your opinions.
