MSW crew-mate William "Greg" Fowler ( Fnorkk) shares his first submission with us, and what a beauty! A fine gallery of images and text of his build of Dragon Models Gearing Class Destroyer, USS William M. Wood I (DD-715), in 1/350 scale!

An excellent presentation, including the history of the vessel, the build narrative, and of course the pics. Well done.

Hello William
Let me congratulate you on a fine and clean built, with good tips for the modeler interested in this particular model and a good history on the vessels life and missions!
I also liked the sparse use of some figures, it will show the scale of the ship for the less used viewers
Congratulations!
Cheers,
Rui

Very nice build. It really does look like something you'd see in a museum.

Thanks guys. I still need to get some blast bags and a presentable base. I want to try making a waterline diorama for her final display. The 5" mounts are still removable so I may do a little sludge wash to the hatch gaps and add the etched gun sights for a little more detail. Happy Hunting. GF
