A-ha!
A very cool cold dio, Peter!
Again full of atmosphere, just as with Gustloff!
I really like the protection around the ship detail with the sailor next to it, and the rigging and the off-white you managed to apply to the Oslyabya, and... (I could continue!)
Congratulations on another jewell!
Cheers,
Rui
PS: I hope you're both ok with all the snow/bad weather in UK

Very nice build. Many good elements, too many to list. Those pre-dreadnought battleships, especially Russian, really had a face only a mother could love.

I am so glad you got that challenging project finished--what a real inspiration. And if you follow the shots in sequence, the punch line is seeing the rest of the model set in real snow!
Delightful work!

Very convincing , and a nice subject. You cant tell if it is a model you looking at , or a picture somewhere from Siberia.I want to try something with ice as well but haven't found a good enough picture to draw me in to it yet.I have to admit i envy people who have the time to start and complete models other than Bismarck/Hood now.

Thanks again, guys, very nice to hear from you all, and, Bismarck/Hood, what its done to your modelling Kostas is that its made you think about presentation with a strong accent on sea effects - no one can touch your work in this area.
But, I know what you mean.

Thanks very much, Louis, and for taking the time to say so.
What I've realised over the last four years of modelling is the photographic presentation where you can experiment, and create illusions and I beleive there's so much more we can do to enhance our work this way.
All the best,
Peter F

Hello Peter, very nice work. I thought the first photo was of the real ship, not the model. You've captured the bleak Russian winter extremely well. A very well done scene, and very unusual, one of the best I've seen. Al

Thanks very much for your reply, Al, and its a scene I've always wanted to do since seeing the Aurora frozen into the Neva in Lenningrad - as it was then - in 1984 - now that was atmospheric!
Cheers,
