You are doing a nice job with that "beast" of a sub! Sorry, not a sub expert, cannot help you with the panels question, even though they DO look on the deep side of things....

Thanks, James! A 'beast' of a kit is an understatement. I don't know how I haven't just busted this thing against the wall!!! It actually got worse and this 'easy' project (I thought) has turned into a real drama. I was working filling the hull-to-rudder gaps on the thing when the hull just started to flex at the seam joins. It was obvious to me that the foam had NOT done its job and so I took drastic measures. I cut a hole on the area where the sail meets the top of the hull and poured about a bucket full (half a gallon?) of plaster inside the 'tube'. The whole thing was messy but now the seams no longer flex and are solid as a rock! The whole things now weights about $10 pounds (maybe more) but it was the only option.
