Hello All,
I have submitted my next Blitzkrieg Campaign over at Armorama.
Anything that floated off of Italy or Sicily is allowed. I would love to see the great Ship Wrights to show the Tread Heads how to make a ship.
Just look for the Blitz 3 thread to commit to the campaign. It starts in November and lasts 6 months.
Thanks for looking,
Cheers,
Bruce

If anybody is interested here is what I've found from U.S. Destroyer Operations in WWII as to the ships involved at Sicily.

TF Joss at Licata
Cruisers Brooklyn and Birmingham
Destroyers Buck, Woolsey, Ludlow, Edison, Bristol, Wilkes, Nicholson, Swanson, Roe.

TF Cent at Scoglitti
Cruiser Philadelphia RN Monitor Abercrombie
Destroyers Mervine, Davison, Quick, Beatty, Tillman, Cowie, Knight, Doran, Earle, Parker, Laub, Kendrick, macKenzie, Champlin, Boyle, Nields, Cole, Bernadou, Dallas.

TF Dime at Gela
Cruisers Boise and Savannah
Destroyers Nelson, Murphy, Glennon, Jeffers, Maddox, Butler, Gherardi, Herndon, Shubrick, Ordronaux.

Most of the same ships were also at Italy.

Hello Rodger,
Thanks for the info. I came across a reference about some U.S. Marines fighting on the beaches on Sicily. It was vague about which unit was involved. Anyone know about the Marines fighting in Sicily?
Cheers,
Bruce
