I agree that is one killer build. She is one of those ships that was unique when built and kept being so her whole time afloat.

Well, thanks everyone for the compliments. I started the build the first week of December and finished it the last week of January. The holidays slowed me up and there were several days that no work was done. I'd say that the model took a month and a half to build.
I personally feel that the real praise belongs to the photoetch. Lion Roars Antiskid, aircraft rail and Depth Charge sets, Flyhawks Accomodation ladder set, various hatch-door and ladder sets and a Tom's IJN Carrier set all contributed to a highly detailed model. I just made the crude parts, they finished the fine details.

That build would have been a chart-topper for the upcoming "Standby Torpedo" campaign.
