I'll probably get a lot of flak for this but I would have to say I don't agree that Halsey should have gotten this rank. His blunder at the Battle of Leyte Gulf, that led to the near disaster at Samar showed he really didn't think as strategically as he should have to have such a high rank.

Well, you have two good points and I have felt the same thing. Just like Patton did not get a 5th star for his "problems".



I will add this as well. I do like opinions. Also as long as debate is handeled correctly I am all for it.
