Some may remember me late last year, talking about building my first ship/sub and what kit I was thinking of doing as I normally build aircraft.
Well, I picked up Revell's 1/72 type VII C U-boat and Eduard's Photo Etch Set.
I going to start in the next few weeks building it. But tomorrow I am planing to start drilling out all the flood holes on the hull. What is the best way to replicate the pressure hull?
Some plastic sheet with shims to create the few millimeters of gap between to exterior hull and the pressure hull?
Sorry if my ship terms/speak are off, as its all a new language to me!

Hi David,
Instead of drilling out the holes, I will suggest that you thin out the material - especially the hull, from the inside.
Regarding the inner hull, adding one you only need to do a crude representation of it, as very litttle is clearly visible from outside trough the openings in the deck.
Thinning out the deck and opening the holes are a tricky affair - are you sure you want to go down that road ? - most choose to replace the deck with brass or wood.
without the holes in the deck, adding a inner hull dont make much sense as very little will be visible trough the side holes.
Cheers/Jan
