...THANKS for the feedback guys...but you know what, there just are NOT enough pictures to be found, scraped up, located, begged for, of Pr Eugen...there are no walkaround photos done back then, best I can do probably now is a compilation DVD of Lutzow, Graf Spee, Deutschland Hipper, etc... and another thing, the QUALITY of many of the pics out there is just terrible...and most of these have already been seen, nothing new out there. Same goes for Tirpitz...probably about 25 known pictures, most of poor quality...you notice how many books of these ships are out there now, but half the pics in the books are now CGI images, renderings, not photos. there are only about 20 known pics of the YAMATO out there, impossible to make a full DVD...

Good point Ray; I got Shipcraft 1 (Pocket battleships) and Osprey's volume on German Pocket Battleships. I was surprised at the small number of pictures available, as well as the quality. Many in Osprey's volume are grainy and from too much of a distance. All "close ups" are drawings or CGI renderings. Finally, there is about a 25-50% overlap in both publications in terms of the pictures themselves. I think I saw ONE decent close up picture of the updated radar system (mast).

Ray,

Yes, it is true there are next to no good high quality images of the Prinz Eugen. I have been saving every picture of her I can find, and some are just rotten. The US Navy did take a few good pictures of her while in their care, but there is not enough for just a dedicated DVD on her.

You also bring up a good point about the Yamato. The same is true for most of the IJN ships. There are pictures of them, but the quality is not good.

Just keep adding titles and doing what you’re doing.
