Hello there, I was inspired to build this diorama after seeing a wonderful Higgins display on this site, that was instrumental for my Pointe Du Hoc the ill fated landings by the Rangers in 1944 where they faced heavy machine gun and long range guns designed to destroy approaching ships.

Looking good Alec. The only thing that I would suggest is toning down the weathering on the landing craft. If they were kept aboard ship, the only time they saw and use was during the landings themselves.

Very dramatic work which captures the intensity of the original landing...reminds me of why I avoid the Marines!
