Hi Guys,
Would anyone have any data on this type of 40mm ammo box?
A picture would be great.

Storage container for non-prepared ammo, usually painted a light color. Only picture I know I have off the top of my head is from the CV-14 Ticonderoga War Damage Report I posted:

What scale are those things?

Thanks Tracy, much appreciated,
I had been told they were Navy style boxes.
Scale is 1/35, from the SB Scotia range by SB Models.
Cheers

Hi Alan
They are indeed Navy style 40mm Bofors ammo boxes
Usually they are stored outside the gun tub, on racks, ready to be placed on the feeders.
They are water tight, hence the hinges/handles on top - they work in a similar way to US watertight doors
Hope this helps
Cheers,
Rui
