Question for Jim Baumann.
Hi Jim.
Before I start let me say that as a new member, and one who is new to modelling, that I stand in awe of your work. I have just completed a 1/350 scale iron shipwrights HMS Dreadnought which will soon be displayed on this site.It is a poor imitation of your version of this kit but I have a question for you. I have many photographs of HMS Dreadnought but have never seen a photo of her with blast bags fitted to her main armament. My understanding is that she never had them. Why have you portrayed them on her?.

Jim ,can you help me with something?. I don't know how to apply washes to decks of ships to highlight the caulking and individual planks. Every attempt I have made has been a disaster and has involved a new start.

Could you help me with info on how to do this?. You are a true master Jim and I just love your work.
