Hello

Working on my "study" 1/144 modell ; before building the SN 1/72 scale, i'm trying to get familiar with all the parts of the subs anatomy. (i'm doing the same for the type VII...)
At the beginning i only had some B&W an finished-modells pics found on the net.
I ordered 2 books... I will wait, observ, learn, see ant then continue the building.

So far :

Welcome aboard Laurent,

I like your work on the details, but there's a problem with the turret, the boat had a bridge and it looks like the deck has been placed too high during construction ?

Heres a shot of the bridgearea:

hello Jan,

Thanks and nice shot ! is it your sub ?

The type XXIII i'm building is a variant from the "Entwicklungs u-boot" develop. u-boat. You can find a description for this closed conning T. in the book from E.Rössler/u-boottyp XXIII page 41, parag. 3 : "...fur den glatten Bootskörper mit Anhängen und geschlossener Brüke...This is a test phase for the "gesamtwiderstand"; the hydrodynamic resistance.

Closed CT. mod. n°557

The open CT. is mod. n°561

Cheers/Laurent

Interesting Laurent, I missed that variant.

Good work!
