Aye, with 10 enlistees, we've hit the minimum amount of builders to approve, so this campaign is a go!
PLENTY of room for more to sign up though!!!
Start planning your builds, mates!
Cheers,
~Gunny

Looks like we're off to a good (pre-)start on the campaign. However, a suitable ribbon needs to be designed.
Not being a graphics designer, I wonder if anyone in our talented community could take a stab at it? I am envisioning a some large classical fish motif, like a Leviathan?

While I will not be joining this campaign, I will be following along with great interest. I had no idea enough kits in these large scales existed to make a campaign like this possible.

Hi Jim!
Yeah, I think a ribbon inspired by one of the USN submarine scaly-fish "dolphin" icons would be the ticket.

I am on for this campaign with the 1/35 Seehund from Bronco. Jan's build inspired my so much I had to go and "get my feet wet" myself.
Looking forward to get started.

Yes, this will be a tough build for me in terms of weathering. I never build anything for the sea in this scale.
I have to go through my references to see how rust, grime etc. would sit on a submarine like this. I have the U-boot in focus magasines which will probably help. Otherwise my only references are you guys and the internet
I am considering adding a commander to the turret. I should not be that difficult as a lot of U-boot clothing were used by tank commanders by the end of WWII. That means there should be some figures in 1/35 in my stash that already is wearing U-boot leather cloathing.

I know I should actually FINISH a GB before signing on for more,,. but...
I have the FIne Molds 1:72 Kaiten Type 1
also have the Pavla Models1:72 "X"-craft (resin) that I can attempt as my first ever resin boat...
would these qualify? not "monster" large boats (the X craft is just a handful of inches long) but the scale is 1:72.... cheers
