I have started my first 1/350th Ship build, actually my first ship build ever and I find that I am extremely wrapped around details of the ship. I normally build 1/35th armor and find that the details which should be on the ship on missing and very frustrating. I am building Tamyia's Missouri and I have already purchased several photo etched sets to increase the detail of the ship. If anyone has previously built the Missouri and would be willing to share some of their pictures I would appreciate it. I am looking for placement of portholes and doors which are missing from the molded peices of the model. Additionally any suggestions for references would be help[ful. I already have the dry dock book and have found further references on drydock.com. Thanks for the help.

Also if anyone knows of or is connected with a model club in Colorado Springs please let me know as I will be moving there shortly and am interested in becoming involved with the club.

If you can stretch to another PE set, Eduard do one that has brass 'skins' for the superstructure that has the portholes, doors etc already one.

Further details here: http://www.eduard.cz/products/card.php?id_product=5477&name=&catalogue_nb=&type=1&pgroup=3&scale=7&product_month=&product_year=&page_start=20&Eduard_Session=4f7ca05a6c3cbff2fe3f268a5208df75

If you're looking for placement, etc., I would suggest the Floating Drydock's USS Missouri BB63 plan eBook:
