Sean,
The model is actually of a Type B3 sub - I-54, I-56 & I-58. There was no I-350 sub. This looks like the AFV Club kit of the I-58 or Pit-Road did one of their own to compete with AFV Club. If the latter why? There are so many other Japanese subs that they could do.

Thanks for that clarification on the type of submarine.
These things can get a little misconstrued in translation from Japanese to English sometimes.
