Hello all after looking at some of the great GB's here and doing some research, I was thinking of an Intresting and hopefully popular Campaign Idea for the future. the name can be changed but i tried to make it catchy.

"Little Friends of the Fleet Campaign"

Which would be a GB for the small boys of the fleets around the world that were say purpose built for Escort Duties of some nature ASW, AAW etc. I was gearing toward just Frigates but thought of Destroyer Escorts, Radar Picketts, and Corvettes.. I know Destroyers did alot of Escort duty in WWII, and I read that the CGN's were classed as Frigates and Destroyer leaders intially till 1975. But thinking mostly of Frigates, DE's, and Corvettes. with a time frame of lets say 1939 to present and of all nations. If anyone of you senior builders have anyway to straighten out my Idea im grateful, if not what do you all think, anyone Intrested? thanks for looking..

Oh yeah time frame of Jan 11 to May 11??? but ultimatley up to the head shed..

Ahoy, Eugene,
I LIKE it!

Great Campaign idea, mate...you can count me in...that's 2, now we need at least 8 more builders...the best thing to do is to fill out the Submit a New Campaign form, get this one on the books now as a proposed campaign, and members can then enlist as we move along in the approval process...any questions, let me know!

Cheers,
~Gunny

good one... i have a couple in the stash that I can build, I think both qualify:

Trumpeter's 1:350 USS England DE-635 (Buckley class destroyer)
AFV club's 1:700 Robert Perry FF1073 Knox Class Frigate

count me in if the above are appropriate for the GB cheers

Count me in, my main area of interest is the Battle of the Atlantic, so I am into escort vessels, overworked and undervalued. I will probably go for something along the corvette / frigate line, but as the start is after Telford, I will make my mind up then

Good luck

Same thing happened to me...seems that when you click (or right click to open a new window), you "lose" your login and therefore there is no "ENLIST" button. You have to login again; probably a glitch in the forum software, i can usually open multiple windows without losing my login.

This sounds like a great campaign with a huge potential for a variety of subjects! I've enlisted and started my "Santa List". I hope I've been a "good boy", because I see a few more intriguing campaigns being bandied about!
