CAD looks good, now we have the modern RN submarine fleet in 1/350th how about a few more surface vessels.

The kit is finally out. I have mine and I have just started to build it so a second  (but much smaller) Astute will be built in Barrow. If you would like to see the plastic I have added some pictures to my Fotopic gallery here...  http://david-j-ross.fotopic.net/c1908048.html

David, thanks for the photo's.  I have fond memories of my time in Barrow (99-00) as we reactivated HMS UNSEEN, took her to sea for trials and then brought her back to Barrow to rename her HMCS VICTORIA before we sailed her to her new Canadian home.

Recent events give a great diorama idea for the Astute - how about a model of the Isle of Skye with the sub rammed into the side of it...........
