Hello there, while coming to a stop with building, I simply can't help myself, which brings me onto the subject of barge, I am scratch building a number of sea/river going barges purely on guess work, my aim is to make several of the same size (1-700) but make some different, here is my attempt ----
I would like any photo's or ideas of what I can use for these work horses. Many thanks.

Looks good Alec, could be any sort of floating workshop or store. One thing does need adding: bollards. How is any tug going to be able to tie this barge alongside without them? some stubs of brass wire or poly rods will do the trick.
cheers,
Julian

Please don't worry about the shine, what was going to be 1 barge as purely an feeler, well today I've managed to put together 10 of them, all in their closing stages, requiring weathering, a touch here and there, the gloss varnish will go obviously, the decal also will be roughed up, the patch repair work on the roof also will be a slightly different colour, these barges mesure 40x25mm, I guess in the real world these would have been HUGE !
Please keep the comments coming. Thank you.
