Greetings fellow modelers! I wanted to share my progress of my build of the Prinz Eugen in 1/350th. Here is the painted and assembled hull:

The main armament and main deck:

Here's one of WEM's P/E cable reels:

Construction of the bridge:

LOTS of P/E go onto the upper works:

Here is the assembly of the folding bridge wings:

That's where I am now. Gonna spend Sunday afternoon at my workbench plugging away at her. Don'tcha love weekends?
Thanks for lookin' and comments/critiques very welcomed!

Aright!! After a long break I'm continuing from where I left off. The superstructure ready to mount on the deck:

All the sub-assemblies in place, I started adding P/E from WEM frets:

I shimmed that gap behind the stack with styrene strip. Wow, these pics really show how much more dry-brushing I need to do to tone down the wash!

Here's the rear gun director/radar tower:

I was going to rig the fore mast before I added it the deck, but I'm putting that off until I get better reference pics:

Well, that's my little update. There's lots more to come! Thanks for lookin' and comments/critiques always welcomed!
Happy modeling!

Your comment about the photos showing detail is a good observation. I take pictures of my progres to do some quality control.

I am really liking your project. Since I have the Z39 I am chomping at the bit big time to start up my ship building again. Just not sure which lady will get the nod first, the PE, GS, or Z39.

Great progress!!

Overall it looks good - and good to see the PE in action. And it urges me to restart the sister (and I have the Eugen in the stash).

Just one note, it seems, judging by one of your images, that you did not completely paint one of the starboard search-light support columns. Which is a shame considering the overall nice paint-job.
