I'm working on the Italeri Biber minisub and I was wondering about the base the provided with it....is it an actual base or just a nice looking fictional mount?

The base is just a convenient, typical ship model stand. Using some HO scale RR track and parts of a small RR car I scratch built a four wheel rail trolley for the Biber - which is factual. You could also put it up on wooden blocks.
