The Brooklyn was without doubt one of the most handsome ships of the pre-dred era and this kit certainly captures that essence. Add to that Peter's skillful use of peacetime livery with tricky color shades (from a weathering standpoint) and loads of tiny detail work and you have a gorgeous representation from a glorious transitional period in warship design.
Beautiful work!

While the photographic representation is nice, it doesn't even come close to the real thing. The model was loaned to YS Masterpieces at the Telford show last weekend to improve sales at their booth. Yannis had asked me to hold the fort while he was away for judging in the contest, so I had a good hour to look at it:
Peter has certainly pulled out all the stops and the model with it's presentation was a true landmark for ship modellers at the show.
I will be happy to get mine done only half as well!
Bravo Zulu, Peter!

Perfect modelling of the perfect model - what a combination! Great work, Peter.
