Hey all, long time since I've been here but I have a question. I work with a guy who ran across an old Ideal Toy Corp. Robert E. Lee Steamboat model that he'd started when we was younger. He told me he still has the box maybe including the instructions but he did start building it long ago. My question(s) is 1. Is this the same mold as the Lindberg kit that's still available? 2. Is it a decent kit? 3. Does it have any collectors value (maybe the box does?)
I don't know much about it but I may see if he would like me to try to disassemble it and maybe do a re-build so I'd like a little information. I built the Lindberg kit when I was about 8 so there's not much I remember about that kit.
Any help would be appreciated.
Bill
